Robert Freeman Davis Jr., 49, of Fort Wayne, passed away on March 13, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Chicago on December 30, 1967, son of Robert F. and Dorothy M. (Patton) Davis, Sr. He spent his formative years traveling the county graduating from Glenbard North in Carol Stream, IL in 1987. After High School he served 7 years in the United States Army. Robert was married in 1996 in Chesapeake, Va. to Kimberly Ferguson. The couple settled in Churubusco in 2009. Kimberly preceded him in death on September 21, 2014. He enjoyed spending time with his three children especially playing video games and loved watching movies. He really enjoyed buying toys for his little boy. He also was a loving, caring, attentive father. He was always there for his children no matter what circumstances. Rob was also know for his sense of humor. Robert is survived by two daughters, Khailee Davis and Kourtnee Davis both of Fort Wayne; two sons, Kyle Davis of Missouri and Khaleb Davis of Fort Wayne; a sister, Michele Davis of Garden Grove, Cal; a brother James Davis of Fort Wayne; a niece Sadie Davis of Laveen, AZ; great grandparents Willie Freeman Davis Sr. and Katherine Davis of Chicago, IL; an aunt, Joyce Miller; an uncle Carl Davis, Sr.; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Freeman Davis Sr. and Dorothy Mae (Patton) Davis Calling will be at the funeral home on Saturday March 25, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home, Pastor Rick VanHorn, officiating. In lieu of Flowers please make donations to his children education fund C/O James Davis.
