Robert J. Eminger, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 5:35 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at his home in Fort Wayne. Mr. Eminger was born on July 4, 1927 in South Milford, Indiana, a son of Hiram and Lura (Wentworth) Eminger. He spent his formative years in South Milford, and graduated from Kendallville High School in 1947. He served his Country in the Untied States Marine Corps during World War II. On January 16, 1949 he was married in South Milford to Doris Gard, and moved from Kendallville to Fort Wayne in 1961. He was employed at Windamatic Systems, and retired as CEO after more than after 20years. Mr. Eminger was a member of Churubusco Church of the Nazarene, Huntertown VFW, and American Legion Post 82 in Fort Wayne. The surviving relatives include wife Doris; three sons Craig (Sharon) Eminger of LaOtto, Mark (Tina) Eminger of Cloverdale, and Kevin (Myrna) Eminger of Quincy, MI; a daughter DeAnn (Kirk) Mortorff of Roanoke; a sister Shirley Musselman of Kendallville; ten grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Hiram and Lura (Wentworth) Eminger; a son Robert W. Eminger, a grandson Nathaniel Eminger, a brother Gerald Eminger, and a sister Kathlyn Bak. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Churubusco Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Paul D. White, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, or one hour prior to the service. Burial with military rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, in the South Milford Cemetery.
