Robert Hohn

Robert D. Hohn, 52, a former resident of Kaiserslautern, Germany and more recently of Churubusco, passed away at 7:05 p. m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. Mr. Hohn was born in Helena, Montana on June 5, 1958, a son of Vincient J. and Inez R. (Larson) Hohn.e He spent his formative years near Townsend, Montana and graduated from Broadwater County High School in 1976.e Upon completing his education, he entered the U. S. Army, and served for 11 years. Throughout his adult life he lived and worked as a computer technician, and last worked as the international operations manager for International Outsource in Germany.e He had moved to Churubusco recently to be near his daughter. A proud veteran, he was a member of the American Legion, Veteran's of Foreign Wars, and the 40 & 8. On June 14, 1976 he was married to Maria Colella.e She survives. Also surviving are his children Christina (Andrew) Geiger of Churubusco and Daniel R. Hohn of Worms, Germany; his mother Inez R. Hohn of Townsend, Mt; his siblings James V. Hohn of East Helena, Mt., Sheila (LaVerne) Heavirland of East Helena, Mt., Thomas K. Hohn of Columbus, Mt., Beverly A. Hohn of Vancouver, Wa., Mark J. (Penny) Hohn of Kent, Wa., David L. (Dee) Hohn of Tuttle, Ok., and Brian D. (Claudette) Hohn of Townsend, Mt; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. Saturday, December 11, 2010, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Pastor Jim Martin of Columbia City First Church of God, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30 a. m. until the time of the service. Burial with military graveside rites will be in the Eel River Cemetery, south of Churubusco. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in any way to honor our veterans.
