Robert Love

Robert L. Love, 87, a resident of Fort Wayne, passed away at 11:15 a.m. on March 12, 2017, at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Valley City, Harrison County, Indiana on July 15, 1929, a son of Boyd and Ada (Bliss) Love. He spent his formative years in Corydon Indiana. He moved to Fort Wayne with his family when he was 16. Robert founded Robert Love Trucking in 1961. He was married in Fort Wayne on February 14, 1986 to Bernice C. Addis. He enjoyed playing golf, softball, and bowling. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Robert is survived by his wife, Bernice Love of Fort Wayne; four children, Kathern Fike, Gary Love and Sabrina (Jim) Wormcastle all of Churubusco, and Diana (Al) Bonacci of Newark, Oh; two step children, Sherry (Steve) Sturgeon of Columbia City and Steve Addis of Fort Wayne; a brother, Harold (Bonnie) Love of Fort Wayne; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Noal, Bill, Lamerl, and Ray Love and a sister, Eula Noll Visiting hours will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, or one hour prior to the service. Services will begin at 11:00 AM, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Saturday, March 18, 2017, Pastor Corinne K. Boruff-Stucker, officiant. Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery, Allen County. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Allen County or Whitley County Humane Society.
