Robert "Bob" Glenn Parrett Jr., 64, of Albion, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 11:07 p.m., at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Fort Wayne on March 6, 1960, to the late Robert "Bob" and Clara Bell (Bunger) Parrett, Sr. He spent his formative years in Columbia City where he attended Whitko School and then Columbia City High School. While in school he participated in cross country, football & JAA basketball. After high school, Bob proudly served in the US Army.
Bob worked at Busche in Albion, for many years. Bob enjoyed being in the company of family and friends. He enjoyed playing poker, singing karaoke, playing shuffleboard, writing songs & poetry, and he loved his Indianapolis Colts. His sense of humor and love of playing jokes on others will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his four brothers, Steven (Mary) Parrett, Randy Parrett, Neil (Julie) Parrett, Ron (Lisa) Parrett, ; six sisters, Katherine Pease, Rhonda Nearhouse, Connie Johnson, Monica Trietsch, Tina (Curt) Traxler, Trudy (Rick Earl) Miller; several nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Roger Johnson and Greg Nearhouse; and his nephews, Curtis Parrett and Michael Parrett.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling beginning at 1:00 p.m.
