Robert E Ream

Robert E. Ream, 82, of Churubusco, passed away at his home on September 27, 2026. He was born on October 27, 1943, in Fort Wayne, to the late Paul and Ruth (Runnestrand) Ream.

Robert graduated from Kendallville High School in 1962 and spent 40 years at General Electric, where he worked in the Tool & Die industry before retiring in 2002.

On November 29, 1963, Robert married the love of his life, Suellen Zollman. Together, they shared 62 years of marriage and raised three children.

Robert was a member of the Churubusco Church of the Nazarene. He loved woodworking and took great pride and joy in creating beautiful pieces with his own hands.

A true adventurer at heart, Robert loved aviation. He not only earned his pilot's license but built and flew two airplanes of his own. His adventurous spirit also took him and Suellen across the country on their Honda Goldwing motorcycle, traveling through 49 states and creating countless memories along the way.

Robert is survived by his wife, Suellen Ream; his three children, Michael (Deborah) Ream, Barbara White, and Randall (Carlos Garcia) Ream; his sister, Rebecca (Jim) Sexton; a sister-in-law, Judy Ream; 12 grandchildren, Emily, Jasmine, Jonathan, Christian, Madison, Holly, Vivian, Kali, Grace, Tristan, Teagan, and Jessica; and eight great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

Robert's family and friends will gather to celebrate his life during a viewing at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service.

Burial will take place in the Sweet Cemetery.
