Robert "Bob" Paul Skinner, 80, of Churubusco, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025.
He was born on February 23, 1945, in Fort Wayne, to the late Clyde and Anna Jane (Burry) Skinner. He spent his formative years in Churubusco and graduated from Churubusco High School.
Bob was married to Mary Jo Longsworth on March 7, 1965. Together, the couple raised their three daughters in Churubusco.
A longtime resident of Churubusco, Bob was a loving husband, father, and devoted grandfather and great-grandfather. He was known for his craftsmanship as a machinist at Zollner Piston, where he worked for 37 years, until his retirement in 2002. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and woodworking, hobbies that brought him much joy and peace. His winters were usually spent in the warm Florida sunshine, a tradition he maintained for 20 years. A faithful attendee of the Sugar Grove Church of God, his faith was a cornerstone of his life.
Robert is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Jo Skinner; his three daughters, Lisa (Rodney) Johnston, Julie (Michael) Farmer, and Amy (Patrick) Carter; a brother, Joseph (Annabeth) Skinner; a sister, Anne (Adrian) Ledger; seven grandchildren, Trent Johnston, Alyssa (Chase) Manth, Haleigh (Austin) Shaw, Austin (Heather) Lowe, Shayna Lowe, Brooke (Michael) Terrian, and Seth Carter; 14 great-grandchildren, Cecileah and Juniper Johnston, Brecken, Emrie, Myah Manth, Gatlin, Gracelynn, Garrett Lowe, Layla Friend, Liam Warner, Alydia, Addie, Carter, and Nelson Terrian.
