Robert Wells

Robert C. Wells, Jr., 62, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 2:20 p.m. on April 30, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne on July 15, 1954, a son of Wilson and Elizabeth (Kohlenberg) Wells. He spent his formative years in Allen County and graduated from Carroll High School in 1972. Robert engaged in farming all his life and retired from M & S Steel in January 2015 after 43 years. He was married on October 27, 2002 to Roxanne (Stahlhut) Anderson. He enjoyed farming, IU Basketball, and Indianapolis Colts Football, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Robert is survived by his wife, Roxanne Wells of Fort Wayne; three sons, Josh (Ashley) Wells of St. Joe, MI, Robert (Tasha) Wells, Jr. of Churubusco, and Kory (Peggy Clouse) Wells of Fort Wayne; two step children, April (Richard) Owens and Todd (Carmen) Anderson both of Churubusco; two brothers, Jerry Wells of Fort Wayne and Roy (Roxie) Wells of St. Joe; eight grandchildren, Alyssa Anderson, Colton Anderson, Kaylee Owens, Makenna Owens, Elizabeth Wells, Madisyn Wells, Olivia Wells, and Ryder Wells. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visiting hours will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on May 3, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Calling one hour prior to the service. Services will begin at 10:00 AM, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on May 4, 2017, Pastor Paul White officiating. Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.
