Robin Plasterer

Robin R. Plasterer, 58, of Churubusco, passed away on January 20, 2020, at Aperion Care of Fort Wayne. Born in Indianapolis, on July 26, 1961, to the late Joseph and Annabelle (Stickler) Shively. She spent her formative years in Churubusco, graduating from Churubusco High School in 1979. Robin was married to Richard Plasterer in Whitley County, on April 17, 1982. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2013, after 31 years. She ran a daycare when her children were young, and supported their many activities while they were in school. Robin also worked at the Post & Mail Newspaper for 23 years. She stayed busy being active in the community including running the Turtle Days Talent Show for a time. Throughout her whole life she created beautiful things through arts and crafts, quilting, and loved playing the organ and singing at church. Robin was a delight to everyone she knew. She loved and cherished her family and was especially proud of being an "Army Mom." Robin is survived by her daughter, Emily (K.J.) McAleesejergins; her son, Philip (Kristen) Plasterer; a brother, Bradley Shively; three granddaughters, Rylinn, Stella, and Edinn. The funeral will take place at Blue River Church of the Brethren, Saturday, February 15, 2020, at 10:00 AM. with a one hour viewing prior to the funeral. Family will also receive friends for visitation at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home on Friday, February 14, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Burial taking place at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
