Roger Gick

Roger Lee Gick, 71, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 8:15 p.m., on Monday, February 4, 2019, at his home. Born in Fort Wayne, on May 27, 1947, to the late, Melvin and Barbara (Green) Gick. He spent his formative years in Fort Wayne, graduating from Central High School in 1965. After high school Roger served in the United States Army. Roger was married to Linda Lothamer in Fort Wayne, on July 26, 1969. He worked at Flint & Walling in Kendallville for 46 years, retiring in 2012. The things he enjoyed the most were family vacations, fishing and astronomy. Roger is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Gick and his son, Shawn Gick. In addition to his parents he is preceded by his brother, Melvin Gick, Jr. Services will take place at St. Joe Community Church, 2900 N. Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne, on Friday, February 8, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Burial will take place at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
