Ronald Loy

Ronald T. Loy, 72, of Churubusco, passed away on February 14, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne, on April 8, 1949, to the late Henry "Bud" and Ruth (Cotterman) Loy. He spent his formative years in Fort Wayne. He served in the United States Marine Corps for two years, following school. Ronald was married to Carol for three years prior to her death. He has spent the last 14 years with Margaret Wayer, she survives. He owned and operated ABC Tree Stump in Churubusco for more than 42 years. In addition to trees, he enjoyed fishing and body and paint. Ronald is survived by his companion of 14 years, Margaret Wayer; two sons, Jimmy Loy and Jason (Chasity) Loy; four sisters, Diann "Sue" (Steve) Blackmon, Pat (Jack) Dafforn, Kristy (Curt) Lesh, and Pam (Andy) Getty; a brother, Rick (Sheri) Cotterman; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild on the way. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Joe Gearte; a brother, Terry Loy. Memorial Services will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with calling starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date in Scott Cemetery, Van Wert County, Ohio.
