Rosemarie C. (Magers) Wright, 91, a former resident of Churubusco and Fort Wayne, and widow of William C. Wright, passed away peacefully at 5:55 a. m. on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Covington Manor in Fort Wayne following an extended illness. Mrs. Wright was born in Fort Wayne on May 23, 1921, a daughter of Joseph I. and Elizabeth A. (Redinbaugh) Magers. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne and graduated from Central Catholic High School. A homemaker, she had served for many years as a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital in Fort Wayne. She had also been employed at The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company and at Myer's Drug Store in Fort Wayne. In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, fishing, gardening, travel, Notre Dame football, and most especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Churubusco. On October 21, 1939 she was married in Fort Wayne to William C. Wright, and spent her adult life in Fort Wayne and the Churubusco-area. Mr. Wright preceded her in death on July 18, 2010 after 70 years of marriage. The surviving relatives include her sons Timothy C. (Kathy) Wright of Fort Wayne and William M. "Mike" (Judy) Wright of Columbia City; a son-in-law Stephen B. Balser of Columbia City; eight grandchildren; 20e great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her only daughter Bonita Marie "Bonnie" Balser on July 17, 2002. Also deceased are two sisters Madonna Bunting, and Dolores Wendeln. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a. m. on Monday, January 21, 2013, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Churubusco with Father Jacob Gall, the celebrant. The family will receive friends at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco on Sunday from 2 to 5 p. m. or after 10 a. m. Monday. The Rosary will be recited at 5 p. m. Sunday at the funeral home.
