Sam Buchanan

Sam Buchanan, 70, of Blue Lake Churubusco, passed away on December 12, 2016 at 1:10 a.m., at Parkview Hospital Randallia. He was born on October 30, 1946 in Indianapolis, to Herschel "Red" and Bernice (Troyer) Buchanan. Sam spent his formative years at Blue Lake and could often be found walking all over town. He is survived by his a brother Paul (Nicolette) Buchanan of Blue Lake; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael James Buchanan and Terry Lee Buchanan, Sr. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday December 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday December 14, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, or one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A Rosary service will be held Wednesday December 14, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to St. John Bosco Catholic Church, Churubusco.
