Sandra Thomas

Sandra Jean Thomas, known to all as Sandy, passed away on October 4, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital. She was born in Fort Wayne, on July 19, 1953, to the late William and Virgina (Wormcastle) Panyard. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne and graduated from Central Catholic High School. She dedicated her career to managing the office of the family maintenance business, from which she was proudly retired. An avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and the Fighting Irish, Sandy's hobbies were playing games like scrabble and bingo. Above all, what mattered most to Sandra was her family. Sandy is survived by her children, Carla (Lane King) Kramer, Chuck Thomas, and Justin Thomas; her sisters, Debra (Ronald) McLaughlin, Cheryl Bourassa, and Linda Myers; her brother, William (Barbara) Panyard; her granddaughter, Lilac Rose (Ben Hubart) Stores; and her great-grandson, Kyren Hubart. A public calling will take place on Monday, October 14, 2024, beginning at 12:00 p.m., at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Huntertown Chapel. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Riley Children's Hospital. Sheets & Childs Funeral has been entrusted with these arrangements.
