Scott Alan Raber, 60, of Churubusco, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at his home. He was born in Fort Wayne, on December 29, 1960, to the late Robert and Darlene (Stout) Raber. He spent his formative years in the Fort Wayne/Arcola area, graduating from Carroll High School. Scott was married to Alicia Avila in Fort Wayne, on June 7, 1985. He worked as a pattern maker for Diversified Pattern and Engineering for 30 years. Scott also worked a year at Maxwell Engineering. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an active member at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. He was a member of the Sparc Men's Group and the Head of the Eucharistic Home Bound Ministry. Scott is survived by his wife of 36 years, Alicia Raber; two daughters, Sarah (Matthew) Hartman and Sammy (James) Krider; his son, Jake Raber; two sisters, Deborah (Jeff) Johnson and Michelle (Charlie) Seifert; an honorary brother, Bob (Lynette) Price; seven grandchildren, Daphne, Roman, Parker, Zoey, Eli, Mya and Leah. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Douglas Raber. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John Bosco Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., with calling one hour prior at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel on Monday, June 21, 2021, from 2 to 7:00 p.m., with Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Burial taking place at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.
