Sharon Rose Alby, 84, of Albion, died peacefully, to the song Amazing Grace, on December 29, 2025, at Ascension Living Sacred Heart Village Nursing Home in Avilla.
She was born on October 27, 1941, in Columbia City, to the late Joseph and Ella (Sheets) Born.
She graduated from Knightstown High School.
Sharon married Richard Alby on November 15, 2001; he preceded her in death on March 6, 2003.
She worked for Parkview Hospital in the Cafeteria. She also worked in the kitchen at Whitley County Hospital. She was known as a hard worker.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Steven) Earnhart; two sons, Duane (Angela) Alexander and Darren (Melissa) Alexander; five stepchildren, Vicki Davis, Kathy Alby, Susan Alby, Theresa Alby and Dionne Landgraft; four grandchildren, Derek (Jamie) Earnhart, Darbi (David) Konkle, Brooke (Nick) Houser and Brandi Alexander; seven great-grandchildren, James, Max, Allison Earnhart, Daelyn, Deslyn, Dellah and Daxtyn Konkle.
On January 11, 2026, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Sacred Heart Nursing Home Chapel in Avilla, IN, at 4:00 p.m.
