Sharon A. Diffendarfer, 73, a resident of rural Churubusco, passed away at 3:20 p. m. on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She had been in declining health since July and had entered the hospital on Tuesday. Sharon was born on June 13, 1941, a daughter of John Henry and Eileen (Kilgus) Boggess, and spent her early childhood years in Fort Wayne. As a young person she moved to the Churubusco-area with her parents and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1959. She lived all of her adult life in and around Churubusco. Employed in the offices of North American Van Lines in Fort Wayne, she retired from there in 2003 after over ten years of employment. She was a member of the Sugar Grove Church of God, north of Churubusco. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing cards, singing with her family, and most especially loved and cherished her family. The surviving relatives include three daughters Lea (Gary) Norris and Christa (Brad) Arrowsmith, both of Churubusco, and Nancy (Dallas) Nestel of El Paso, Ill; her son Lance (Holly) Diffendarfer of Fort Wayne; a sister Diane M. Geiger of Churubusco; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother John W. Boggess on September 18, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at the Sugar Grove Church of God with Pastor Timothy Grable, officiating. The family will receive friends at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco on Monday from 4 to 8 p. m., or at the church one hour prior to the service Tuesday morning. Interment will be in the Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, 6316 Mutual Drive, Fort Wayne, IN 46825 **********************************************
