Sharon L. Fear, 86, of Wolf Lake, passed away on July 23, 2024, at her home.
She was born in Noble County on March 13, 1938, to the late Roy and Alice Loena (Egolf) Starkey, she spent her formative years in Wolf Lake and graduated from Wolf Lake High School.
She was married to Thomas O. Fear on February 8, 1963. Together the couple raised two daughters. Thomas preceded her in death on April 6, 2003.
Sharron worked collectively at Essex, United Tech, and Preferred Tech for over 46 years.
Sharon had a life filled with love, family, and the sweet smell of baked goods. The joy of giving and sharing time with her family was paramount. She was known for her heartwarming generosity and the love she had for her family. She was a Master of Baking cakes, cookies, and pies, and enjoyed making candy, especially during the holidays. Family gatherings were important to Sharon, where she used to share her baked goods and candies with her loved ones, creating memories that will forever be cherished.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Kim (Dan) Filley and Tammy (Brian) Guthrie; her siblings, Melba (John) Moorhouse, Lois Starkey, Lana (Jerry) Jacobs, June Treble, and Russell (Mollie) Starkey; her grandchildren, Courtney (Jeremy) Nicodemus, Tanner (Kelsey) Guthrie, Cara (Andrew) Rivera, Lyndin Wasson, Jesse Filley, and Dakota Filley; 11 great-grandchildren, Ripley, Beckham, Sage, Callie, Parker, Brooklyn, Sophia, Nora, Henry, Mateo, and Mila.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Shirley Beard, Roy (Bud) Starkey, David Starkey, and John Starkey.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will take place at Merriam Christian Chapel Cemetery.
