Shirley Sickafoose

Shirley A. Sickafoose, 88, of Albion, passed away on August 12, 2023, at Saint Anne's in Fort Wayne. She was born in Churubusco, on March 10, 1935, to the late Howard and Jane (Craig) Henning. On September 25, 1954, Shirley embarked on a journey of love and companionship as she married her beloved Jack Sickafoose, who preceded her in death, on February 18, 2020. Even though Shirley was never formally employed, she was a tireless worker in the home and a dedicated caretaker to her family. Shirley's memory will be cherished by her surviving sons, James Sickafoose and Lynn (Jo) Sickafoose, as well as her daughter-in-law, Becky Sickafoose. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her son, Kirk Sickafoose; and several brothers and sisters. At Shirley's request, there will only be a private family service. Her burial will take place at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
