It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Sophia Kay Browning, who was born and departed on the same date, March 28, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana. As the adage goes, "The brightest stars burn out fastest," and Sophia, though her time was fleeting, left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had eagerly awaited her arrival. The joy of her birth will forever mingle with the sorrow of her loss. She was a beacon of love in the lives of her family, even in her brief sojourn on this earth.
Sophia is survived by her loving parents, Olivia & Michael Browning; her adoring brothers, Layton Lidy, and Kolton Browning; her doting grandparents, Jeffery & Joanna Pier, and Robert & Stacy Buescher; uncles, Noah (Stephanie) Pier, Adam (Tiffany Hamblin) Pier, Micah (Micayla) Pier, Dalton (Christine Ellis) Butler, and Nick (Brittany) Butler.
Sophia was preceded in death by her great grandfathers, Jim Fewell, and Donald Pier; and great uncle, George Fewell.
As Maya Angelou once said, "A great soul serves everyone all the time. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again." Sophia's soul, though it graced us for only a moment, was indeed great, and her memory will bring us together in love and shared remembrance.
We invite all who were touched by her brief but impactful life, to join us in celebrating her at South Creek Church of God, located at 5937 South Park Road, Kokomo, Indiana, 46902 on Friday, April 12, 2024. Public visitation will take place from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with a memorial service starting promptly at 3:00 pm.
This will serve as a living tribute to her, a testament to the profound effect she had on us all.
