Steve Marschand

Steve W. Marschand, 73, of Columbia City passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018, at his residence. Born December 25, 1944, at Wolf Lake Lucky Hospital, to Harold and Esther (Miller) Marschand. Steve graduated from Churubusco High School in 1963. He was married to Sherral S. Geiger on September 5, 1965, in Churubusco. He was the owner and operator of J. Miller Cabinet Company. He started working at J. Miller Cabinet Company when he was thirteen years old sweeping the floors and doing janitor work. In 1972, he became co-owner of the company and by the late 1970's became owner. Currently four of Steve's immediate family members work at the shop carrying on his legacy. He was a member of the Churubusco Church of the Nazarene. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and riding his Honda Goldwing Trike. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sherral Marschand of Columbia City; two daughters, Dawn (Will) Norris and Tina (Todd) Skinner both of Churubusco; six wonderful grandchildren and four precious great grandchildren; his mother, Esther (Miller) Marschand Geiger of Albion. Steve is preceded in death by his father, Harold. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Monday, July 23, 2018, at the Churubusco Church of the Nazarene, 1000 W. Whitley Street, Churubusco, IN 46723 with Pastor Paul White officiating. Calling will be 2-5 pm, Sunday, July 22, 2018, at the Nazarene Church with calling one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam. For those who wish, memorials may be directed to Churubusco Church of the Nazarene Alabaster offering or Smile Train.
