Sueanne H. Brady, 79, a resident of rural Churubusco and wife of David B. Brady, passed away at 12:10 p. m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at her home. She had been in declining health for some time, but had only been seriously ill for the past two weeks. Mrs. Brady was born on February 21, 1935 in Indianapolis, a daughter of Archibald and Helen (Carter) Pounds. Her family moved to Smith Township near Collins when she was a young girl. She spent her formative years there and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1953. On May 22, 1954 she was married in Fort Wayne to David B. Brady, and lived all of her adult life near Churubusco. She had been employed at the former Victor Gasket in Churubusco, and had also worked in the offices of the Indiana Department of Transportation in Fort Wayne for 19 years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Ege. The surviving relatives include her husband David, to whom she was married for over 60 years; five children Delene (Don) Vandewalker of Churubusco, David (Sherrie) Brady of Churubusco, Douglas (Glenda) Brady of Albion, Daniel (Tracie) Brady of LaOtto, and Dawn (Curtis) Stauffer of Churubusco; 13 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother James Pounds. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a. m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Ege with Father Polycarp Fernando, the celebrant. The family will receive friends at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco on Friday from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p. m. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 8 p. m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
