Susan Gering

Susan D. Gering, 53, of Churubusco, passed away at 5:05 pm on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Parkview Whitley Hospital in Columbia City. Miss. Gering was born on May 15, 1961 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of Don and Virgina (Mudrack) Gering. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne, and graduated from Wayne High School in 1979. After high school she moved from Fort Wayne to Churubusco where she had lived for since 1979. She was employed at Alliance Games, Fort Wayne. The surviving relatives include two brothers, Danny (Janie) Gering of Fort Wayne and Dennis (Jeannine) Gering of Churubusco; Several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great niece. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, or one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Ege Catholic Cemetery, Ege. For those who wish, memorials may be directed to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. *********************************
