Suzanne Surber

Suzanne Kay Surber, 66, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 7:25 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Life Care of Fort Wayne. Born on January 9, 1952 in Marion. She was a daughter of Rev. Herman And Lucy (Bojrab) Surber. She grew up a daughter of a United Methodist Pastor in central Indiana, living in Grant, Howard and Delaware Counties. She graduated from Wes-Del High School in 1969. She earned her Bachelors from Taylor University in 1973 and a Master's degrees in Elementary Education and Guidance from Ball State University. Suzanne worked for World Gospel Mission for 19 years retiring in 1999. She worked as a guidance counselor at Christian Academy in Tokeo, Japan. The last three years she was with World Gospel Mission at Southwest India School, Peoria and Arizona. Suzanne is survived by many aunts, Uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by Her parents and a brother, Steven Surber. Calling will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Services will begin at 1:00 PM, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on January 26, 2018. Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Trinity United Methodist Church.
