Terrence "Terry" J. Clemons, 65, of Churubusco, passed away at 4:45 a.m., on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at his home.
Born in Harvey, IL, on December 5, 1952, he was the youngest son of Fred L. and Theresa M. (Patty) Clemons. He spent his formative years in Harvey where he attended Thornton High School. After high school, he attended DeVry Institute of Technology.
Terry was married to Maureen Wetzel on September 23, 1989.
He retired from Norfolk and Southern Railroad in 2013, after more than 30 years of service.
Terry was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan and prided himself on his resemblance to Dale for many years. He loved meeting and getting to know new people, playing darts and hanging out with all his DW buddies. He liked to cook, go camping and have campfires with the guys. He enjoyed working on cars with his brother and he could fix almost anything. He loved his dog, Rusty.
He attended Trinity English Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.
Terry is survived by his wife of 28 years, Maureen Clemons; his brother, Fred "Ron" Clemons; three sisters, Patricia Kelley, Joanne (Bill) McClelland and Debbie Clemons; many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Corey McDaniel and his dog, Rusty.
Calling will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Friday, April 20, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Calling also one hour prior to the service.
Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Saturday, April 21, 2018.
Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.
Preferred memorials to Black Pine Animal Sanctuary, Trinity English Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne or American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana.
