Thad "Joe" Zolman

Thad "Joe" Zolman, 75, of Churubusco, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Parkview Hospital Randallia. He was born on March 25, 1947, to the late Archie and Grace (Simon) Zolman. They made their home in Swan Township, Noble County. Joe was a good student. He started school in Ligonier and later attended Merriam and Wolf Lake schools. In 1958, he contracted Measles and Encephalitis. This changed his life into a sleep mode forever. He enjoyed gardening, artwork, and giving people gifts. After traveling to Tacoma, Washington he enjoyed going anywhere by train or car. He loved living in Fort Wayne and had a wonderful day before his stroke on June 24, 2022. He is survived by his sister, Sondra (Frank) Montel Jr.; a nephew, Frank J Montel III; a niece, Tawny (Kevin) Hinrichsen; seven grandnieces and grandnephews, and five great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling one hour prior to service. The family will also receive family and friends at the Funeral Home, on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Burial taking place at Swan Cemetery. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
