Thomas Gusching

Thomas W. Gusching, 79, of Albion, formerly Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025, at Stillwater Hospice Home. He was born in Fort Wayne on May 28, 1945, to the late Walter and Ann Marie (Krudop) Gusching. He spent his formative years in Fort Wayne and graduated from Central High School in 1963. He was a member of Sheet Metal Local #20, where he was a journeyman "Tin Knocker" and specialty Welder for 40 years. Tom loved music. He could play a harmonica and was great at playing spoons. He also liked to grill and use his smoker to make tasty food to share with family and friends. Tom always challenged himself, whether it be a building project or a Sudoku puzzle. Tom is survived by his wife of 26 years, Gloria (Cook) Gusching; his daughter, Joann Gusching; his three sons, Rick, Andy, and Jacob Gusching; two sisters, Jill (Paul) Arvia and Jackie Serres; seven grandkids and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Gusching. The family will receive family and friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Burial will take place in the Riverview Cemetery, Churubusco.
