Thomas Larkin

Thomas Michael Larkin, 66, of Churubusco, passed away on October 28, 2020, at his lake home in Churubusco. Born in Gary, on July 13, 1954, to the late Thomas and Gloria (Schibley) Larkin. He spent his formative years in Chicago, graduating from St. Francis de Sales High School in 1972. Thomas was married to Karen Ogorzaly at St. Michael Catholic Church, Chicago, IL., on September 25, 1976. The couple moved to the lake permanently after his retirement. He is a retired member of the UAW and worked for the Ford Motor Company for 20 years. He enjoyed life on the lake, boating with his grandchildren and the Chicago Cubs. Thomas is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Karen Larkin; his daughter, Kristin (Nick) Block; his son, Daniel (Sarah) Larkin; three sisters, Diane (John) Zielinski, Sue (Jim) Vanderbizen and Laura (John) Zielinski; a brother, Richard Larkin; five grandchildren, Katelyn, Madison, Mikalea, Ryan and Lucas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Wegryzn and Mae Larkin. A private family service will be held at a later date.
