Torchia Fry

Torchia A. Fry, age 76, of Churubusco, passed away on September 26, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born on August 6, 1941 in Kokomo. She was a daughter of Wayne and Naomi (Phillips) Byrd. She spent her formative years in Churubusco and attended Churubusco High School. She retired from C & A Tools in Churubusco. Torchia loved her family and enjoyed spending time with friends at Blue River Apartments. Torchia is survived by two daughters, Kim Fry of Epping, NH and Tina (Tim) Herendeen of Churubusco; a son, DG Fry of Churubusco; her identical twin sister, Georgia (James) Schenher of LaOtto; a brother Bradley Byrd of Columbia City; two grandchildren and two step grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents. Visiting hours will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on October 1, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Calling also one hour prior to the service at the church. Services will begin at 10:00 AM, at Churubusco Church of the Nazarene on October 2, 2017. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Allen County. In lieu of flowers please memorials to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
