Trae Bennett

It is with profound sorrow, that we announce the passing of Trae Alan Bennet Jr., who was born on February 24, 2024, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and left us on the same day. Trae was a spark of light, though his time with us was brief, his presence was inspiring. Trae is survived by his loving parents, Destiny Amaya and Trae Alan Bennett Sr.; his siblings, Xavier DePew, Nikita-Marie DePew, Kathryn DePew, Aayliah Bennett, and Angelica Bennett; his grandparents, Pawpaw Amaya, Mawmaw Amaya, Mimi Amaya, Jeremiah Bennett; great grandma, Pam Brickey; and cousins, Tomas and Lonla. Trae joins in rest his great grandparents, Tom Amaya, Ruth Amaya, and Johnny Brickey; grandmas, Betty and Kathryn; and his uncle, Jimmy Gibson. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, 206 North Main Street, Churubusco, Indiana, 46723 with funeral services immediately following visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory can be made to Remembering Rowan.
