Valda Hansen

Valda L. Hansen, 93, of Churubusco, passed away on December 4, 2017 at Parkview Noble. She was born on December 18, 1923 in Churubusco she was a daughter of Oscar and Icellee (Winebrenner) Gilbert. She spent her formative years in Churubusco and attended Churubusco High School. Valda was married in July of 1957 to Melvin Hansen. The couple remained in Churubusco. She retired from Magnavox in 1983 after 15 years. She loved her daytime shows and her word searches. Valda is survived by seven children, Ginny Collett, Ronald Wilson, Kenneth Wilson, Rex Wilson, Marsha Kelly, Steve Wilson, Charles Hansen; three sisters, Ruth Wait, Alice Conrow and Mary Stolte; a brother, Arden Gilbert; 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren In addition to her Husband and parents she is preceded in death by three brothers, Paul "Bud" Gilbert, Walter Gilbert and Willard Gilbert; a sister, Sarah Smith; a great great grandson.
