Virginia Browning

Virginia A. Browning , 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 9:25 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, After a long illness more serious in the last week.e Mrs. Browning was born on August 4, 1927 in Smith Twp., Whitley County, a daughter of Adam and Ollie (Truelove) Ragan.e She spent her formative years in Churubusco, and graduated from South Side High School in Fort Wayne.e e On January 24, 1946 she was married to Leo E. Browning, and moved to Eel River Twp, Allen County where she had lived since 1954. Mrs. Browning liked painting and crafting. She loved her children, her grandchildren, and her great - grandchildren. Her spouse preceded her in death on June 6, 1992. The surviving relatives include two sons Charles (Mary Beth) Browning of Churubusco and Dean (Phyllis) Browning of Vancouver, WA; two daughters Pamela (Thomas) Murphy of Dewy Rose, GA and Renee (Robert) Lemish of Avilla; 10 grandchildren and 21 great - grandchildren.e In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by a sister Betty Winchester and brother Leonarde Ragan.e Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, with Father Danney Pinto, officiating.e The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, or one hour prior to the service.e Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Allen County.e For those who wish, memorials may be directed to Parkview Home Health & Hospice or the church Masses.
