Wanda Ann Walcutt, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away on June 21, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Churubusco on February 12, 1939, to the late Joseph and Anastasia (Molargik) Konger. She spent her formative years in Allen County and graduated from Huntertown High School in 1957.
Wanda was married to Jack E. Walcutt in November 1957. They were married for 63 years. He preceded her in death on August 12, 2020.
She worked at Gridcraft in Huntertown for a short time and retired after 30 years as a School Bus Driver with Northwest Allen County Schools. Wanda was a member of Saint Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. She enjoyed doing upholstery work, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving family members include three daughters, Kim (Tim) Smead, Rhonda (David) Bremer, and Jodie (Carlos) Cruz; two sons, Kent (Cindy) and Bart (Darlene) Walcutt; twenty-eight grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; four brothers, Bernard (Maggie) Konger, Raymond (Mary Ann) Konger, and Robert (Barb) Konger; a sister, Laura Nicodemus.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathryn Walcutt, in 1963; a sister, Regina Frazier; and four brothers, Donald, Tony, Lawrence, and James Konger.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., with calling hours beginning one hour before the service.
