Willadean Hall

Willadean J. Hall , 88, of formerly of Huntertown, passed away at 10:57 am on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at her home in Plainfield. Mrs. Hall was born on July 6, 1926 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of Forrest and Althea (DePew) Pontius. she spent her formative years in Leo, and graduated from Leo High School in 1944. On June 14, 1947 she was married in Ossian to Russell D. Hall. She was employed at Dana Corp., Fort Wayne for 16 years and also worked at an alteration shop in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Hall was a member of Teti-Sheri Daughters of the Nile Temple #60 in Fort Wayne, also the Huntertown Homemakers. Mr. Hall preceded her in death on February 4, 2002. The surviving relatives include two sons, Russell Dean Hall of Fort Myers, FL and Mark David Hall of Plainfield; sister-in-laws, Jean Pontius of NC and Kavon Pontius of TN; three grandchildren, Shane Hall, Bart (Anji) Hall, and Heather (Mark) Willis; five great grandchildren, Colton Hall, Shylee Hall, Annabelle Willis, Emma Willis, and Mark Willis. In addition to her spouse and parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Gloyd; two brothers Don and Jon Pontius. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from noon to 2:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Huntertown Cemetery, Huntertown.
