William "Bill" Bergman

William "Bill" Harry Bergman, 75, of Churubusco, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Bethlehem Woods in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, on November 20, 1944, to the late Harry and Lucille (Lauer) Bergman. He spent his formative years in Fort Wayne, graduating from Southside High School in 1963. Bill served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict from 1965 to 1967. Bill was married to Cynthia Dill in Fort Wayne, on August 16, 1986. The couple moved to Churubusco in 2002. He retired from Dana as an Inspector. William is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cindy Bergman; five sons, Joseph (Missi) Bergman, Andrew (Theresa) Bergman, Daniel (Shelly) Bergman, Kelly (Ali) Bergman and Kerry (Jennifer) Bergman; his sister, Jeanne Phillips; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson. Services will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Thursday, October 8, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. with calling one hour prior to the service. Family will also receive friends on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial taking place at Riverview Cemetery, Allen County. Memorials to Churubusco American Legion.
