William "Bill" Martin, 63, of Kendallville, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020, at his daughter's home in Corunna.
Born in Fort Wayne, on August 27, 1956, to Eugene and Genevieve (Guiff) Martin. He spent his formative years in Kendallville, attending East Noble High School. After high school, Bill served his country in the United States Navy.
He worked at Essex Wire and Heidman Steel until his retirement in 2000.
He was a past member of the Masonic Lodge in Cromwell and was also a Shriner. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Cromwell.
Bill is survived by his mother, Genevieve Martin; two daughters, Jennifer Lee and Juanita (Bill) Inman; two sons, Daniel (Elizabeth Weidner) Martin and Nathaniel (Chelsea) Martin; a brother, Donald (Pam) Gustin; a sister, Sheryl Kelly; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Martin and a brother, Ray Martin.
Services will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service.
Family will also receive friends on Monday, March 16, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Burial following the service with military rites taking place at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.
