Wilma B. Crabill, 96, formally of Garrett, passed away on July 5, 2024, in Auburn.
She was born in Columbia City on April 26, 1928, to the late Clarence and Effie (Appleton) Judd. She spent her formative years in Columbia City and graduated from Columbia City High School in 1946.
Wilma married her beloved husband, Max Crabill, in Columbia City on March 20, 1954. Their love story was a testament to devotion, and together they raised their children in Garrett. Max preceded her in death on August 25, 2019, after 65 years of marriage.
Wilma had worked for Blue Bell and Grants Dentist Office, but her true passion was her children and family.
Wilma enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, and baking. She was a past member of the Garrett United Methodist Church.
Wilma is survived by her daughter, Sheree (John) Keller; her son, Gary (Dina) Crabill; her four grandchildren; Matthew (Rona) Crabill, Justin (Melissa) Crabill, Arielle (Sam) Dunipace, and Hannah (Jordan) Cowper; her five great-grandchildren, Aaron, Caden, Cole, Alex, and Myles.
In addition to her parents and husband, Wilma was preceded in death by her 14 siblings, Edith Burnworth, Eileen Moore, Faith Karst, Ralph, Donald, Kenneth, Glen, Dale, Gerald, Lester, Harold, Hazel, Elma, and Franklin Judd.
A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling beginning at noon.
Interment will take place at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.
